Thanks to the almighty for the gift of life and for what we have so far accomplished.
We have covered one third (1/3) of the term, and below are some issues for your attention:
1.Arrival and closure;
It has been noticed that some children in primary section are dropped to school late while others are picked late .
Be reminded that the school is open from 7:00am. to 6;00pm. However, the day care and nursery children may be brought in slightly later.
2. Home work ;
All children in primary section receive home work everyday; please ensure that they do it and acknowledge you participation by appending your signature at the end of the exercise.
3. Sickness;
Many children are having flue and cough. You are advised to thoroughly treat your child before you bring him/her for classes.
4. School fees;
our traditional approach to paying school fees has been abused by some parents .We there fore expect every parent to have paid all school fees by now. if you have not ,please do so or else kindly keep your child home.
5. Accademics;
Every child has been given results of beginning of term exterminations. please try to sit with your child and advise where necessary .
At PLE 2009, the results were as follows :
DIV. ONE 25, DIV.II 14 , DIV.III&IV NIL
We hope to perform even better this year.
6. Term 1 2010 program:

Each class has has a particular day when to wear sports school uniform. The Class Teachers have already communicated this to you; if not, get in touch with them please.

Pre-Primary Section.
http://silverspoonschool.ac.ug/prep.htm
Our school is a vibrant and exciting place to be. We pride ourselves on our genuinely small classes which enable us to offer individual care for your daughter or son. Happy children are the feature of our school rather than an added extra, as we strive to develop everyone’s confidence in a secure and caring atmosphere. Uniquely for a school our size we are blessed with outstanding facilities in a beautiful environment; we make the most of these to offer a wide reaching curriculum abounding with purpose and new experiences.
If you would like to know more, please arrange a visit where you will be more than welcome to meet the children and the teachers and, of course, see our school in action.
Silver spoon's Pre-primary School offer a broad curriculum.
In the Pre-primary, the Early Learning Goals make way for the demands of the Early Years Foundation Stage, then Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum and ultimately, when the pupils are seven, they enter Key Stage 2, the curriculum begins to be taught by specialist staff and additional subjects are added.
The vitally important subjects of Mathematics, English, Science are taught in a differentiated manner to ensure that all children feel that they are making progress with achieving their next goal.
The broader curriculum, including the Humanities, a modern foreign language, Art, Music, Dance, Drama, PE, Games, Swimming are all also included in our exciting timetables.
Our curriculum extends beyond these areas though. We offer courses for able, gifted and talented children
Our aim is to encourage all pupils to achieve their potential by giving them the individual attention they require. All of our activities are designed with a range of needs and capabilities in mind - with support or extension activities, in place.
